OUR SCHOOL VISITS BAGHERIA (SYCILY)
Este es el segundo año en que el IES Miguel Hernández participa en un proyecto Erasmus financiado por la Unión Europea. Se llama "You are not alone". El curso pasado tuvimos la visita de alumnos y profesores de Polonia, Holanda, Portugal e Italia. Este curso nos toca viajar a nosotros.
Nuestra primera visita ya se ha producido.6 alumnas de 3º y 2º de ESO acompañadas de dos profesores han visitado Bagheria, una pequeña ciudad cerca de Palermo en Sicilia. Cada alumna ha sido acogida por una familia y han asistido al centro escolar italiano con el que hacemos el proyecto. Aquí os dejamos las impresiones sobre el viaje de algunas de nuestras alumnas.
This is the second year in which Miguel Hernandez secondary school participates in an Erasmus project funded by the European Union. It is called "You are not alone". Last year we had the visit of students and teachers from Poland, the Netherlands, Portugal and Italy. It is our turn to travel abroad.
Our first visit has already been done.6 students from 3rd and 2nd years together with two teachers have visited Bagheria, a small town near Palermo in Sicily. Each student has been received by a family and attended the Italian school with which we are making the project. Here you have the impressions about their travel of some of our students.
Ana María Moya 3º A:
La semana del 6 al 11 de
noviembre, ocho de nosotros, Claudia del Barco y Paula de 2º ESO; Ana Tejero, Ana María Moya ,
Claudia Vicente y Elena Sa´nchezde 3 ° ESO; y Juan Manuel Peces y Lalo Martín, dos profesores, estuvimos en
Bagheria, una ciudad de Palermo (Sicilia).
Para algunos de nosotros,
era la primera vez viajando en un avión. Para realizar el viaje, tuvimos que
coger cuatro aviones, dos para el vuelo de ida y otros dos para el vuelo de
vuelta. Hicimos escala en Roma.
El primer día, el lunes,
solo fuimos de un aeropuerto a otro y conocimos a las familias. ¡Son geniales!
El martes, nos reunimos con el alcalde en el ayuntamiento. ¡El techo era
realmente increíble! También jugamos juegos típicos y vimos un espectáculo de
los niños y profesores italianos. ¡Una profesora bailó flamenco! Por la tarde,
estuvimos en el Museo de Giocattolo, un museo sobre juguetes. El miércoles,
estuvimos en la escuela, donde pudimos ver una fantástica obra musical, y luego
visitamos el Museo Guttuso dentro de Villa Cattolica y el Palazzo Cutò, la
biblioteca. El jueves estuvimos en clase con nuestros "nuevos hermanos y
hermanas" y, por la tarde, fuimos al Museo de las Anchoas. El dueño
cantaba todo el tiempo. Visitamos Palermo el viernes. Finalmente, el sábado por
la mañana volvimos a España.
En general, fue un viaje
fantástico con gente genial.

The week from 6th until 11th
November, eight of us, Claudia and Paula from 2nd ESO; Ana, Ana María,
Claudia and Elena from 3rd ESO; and Juan Manuel and Lalo, two
teachers, were in Bagheria, a city near Palermo (Sicily).
For some of
us, it was the first time in a plane. To do the trip, we had to take four
planes, two outbound flights and other two inbound flight. We did a
stopover in Rome.
The first
day, on Monday, we only were from one airport to another and we met the
families. They were great! On Tuesday, we met the major in the town hall. The
ceiling was really amazing! We also played typical games and saw a show by the
Italian children and teachers. A teacher danced flamenco! In the afternoon, we
were in the Museum of Giocattolo, a museum about toys. On Wednesday, we were in
the school, where we could see a fantastic musical play, and then we visited Guttuso
Museum inside Villa Cattolica and the Palazzo Cutò, the library. On Thursday,
we were in class with our “new brothers and sisters” and, in the afternoon, we
went to the Anchoves Museum. The owner sang all the time. We visited Palermo on
Friday. Finally, on Saturday morning we came back to Spain.
Overall, it
was a fantastic trip with great people!
P.S.: We never forgot to take the Spanish flag with us!
Ana Tejero Martín 3ºB:
Mi experiencia en Italia ha sido muy buena. Antes de ir, estaba muy nerviosa y ansiosa porque nunca había viajado al extranjero. Esta ha sido la primera vez que he viajado a otro país y que he volado en avión.
Esperaba que fuese un viaje menos entretenido, pero no ha sido así. En Italia, concretamente en Bagheria (Sicilia) he pasado unos días maravillosos. Mis compañeras, Claudia Vicente-Ruiz, Claudia del Barco, Elena, Paula y Ana María han sido geniales, y no nos hemos aburrido en ningún momento. Y, por supuesto, nuestros profesores, Juanma y Lalo se han portado muy bien con nosotras.
Allí, en Bagheria, visitamos muchos lugares importantes como el museo del juguete, el ayuntamiento o el museo de la anchoa. Todos ellos muy interesantes.
En nuestra estancia, nos hemos alojado con familias italianas. Todas ellas maravillosas. Pero en mi caso, he de decir que me han hecho sentir como en casa. Me han enseñado algunas palabras en italiano como giocattolo (juguete), o cómo comer espaguetis como ellos, ¡es muy divertido! Y yo también les he enseñado algunas palabras y juegos de España.
¡Ha sido una experiencia inolvidable!
My experience in Italy was really great. Before going there, I was so nervous and excited because I had never travelled abroad. This has been my first time that I have been to another country and the first time that I have travelled by plane.
I expected it to be less funny but it was not true. In Italy, especially in Bagheria (Siciliy) I had spent some wonderful days. My partners, Claudia Vicente-Ruiz, Claudia del Barco, Elena Sánchez, Paula and Ana María Moya aregreat ly, and we haven' t been bored at all. And, of course, our teachers, Juanma Peces and Lalo Martín have been really nice with us.
There, in Bagheira, we have visited a lot of important places such as the museum of toys, the town hall, the museum of the anchovy. All of them were really curious.
We have stayed with a family. All of them were so lovely. But in my case, I have to say that they made me feel at home. They have taught me some Italian words as giocattolo (toy), or how to eat spaghettis as they do, it’s really funny!. Also, I have taught them some Spanish words and games.
It has been an unforgettable experience!

Comida italiana
En
nuestro viaje en Italia hemos comido alimentos típicos de allí como espaguetis,
macarrones, una gran variedad de pizzas (con patatas fritas, Nutella,
salchichas…) y arancini. Los italianos suelen consumir más alimentos que los
españoles. Nos ha gustado mucho la comida de allí y hemos venido con unos kilos
de más😊
Italian food
In our trip to Italy, we
have eaten typical food from there like spaghetti, macaroni, a lot of pizzas
(with chips, Nutella, sausages on them…) and arancini. Italians tend to consume
more food than Spanish people. We have enjoyed the food there and we have put on weight
(we have come with a few extra pounds)😊
