NUESTRO PROYECTO ETWINNING " A COMIC,HOW DO YOU SEE US?" GALARDONADO
¿Has oído alguna vez hablar sobre un proyecto eTwinning? ?
Su objetivo es intercambiar información para aprender sobre la cultura de otros
países de Europa desde otros puntos de vista: geográfico, histórico, artístico,
deportivo… a través de una red social europea de centros escolares llamada Etwinning, creada por la Comisión Europea en el 2005.
Y, ¿cómo iba a dejar ir nuestro instituto pasar esta oportunidad?
Estábamos buscando con muchas ganas un proyecto donde nos pusiéramos en
contacto con gente de otros países para usar nuestro inglés. Afortunadamente,
encontramos eTwinning. No sólo los
estudiantes estábamos emocionados de
tener esta oportunidad sino también los
profesores. Por lo tanto, estábamos impacientemente esperando a otro país
interesado en estar en contacto, y fue… ¡Croacia!
Vicky Cifuentes coordinó el proyecto y nuestro grupo de 3º
ESO bilingüe del curso pasado hizo la mayor parte de las actividades.
EL LOGO
Muchos logos fueron hechos por estudiantes de 2º ESO. La
responsable fue la profesora de plástica Carolina Puche. Definitivamente, todos
ellos expresaban, de la mejor manera posible, el objetivo del proyecto. Sin
embargo, solo uno podía ser elegido para representarlo (¡ojala pudiéramos haber
elegido más!) y votamos para ello. Antes de tener esta tarea hecha, otros estudiantes
ya estaban haciendo la siguiente…
EL VÍDEO
Por supuesto, todo el mundo estuvo de acuerdo: teníamos que
presentar oficialmente nuestro instituto. Por esta razón, estudiantes de 3º ESO
bilingüe junto con su profesora Vicky Cifuentes grabaron y editaron un vídeo, en el
cual se entrevistabann a la directora, a nuestra asistente americana, a la
coordinadora del programa bilingüe, y
mostrábamos las partes de los distintos edificios y los pueblos de los
alrededores.
Tardó un tiempo pero finalmente lo hicimos.
Por supuesto, ellos también os mandaron un video, que era
fantástico. ¿Os gustaría echarles un vistazo?
PERSONAJES HISTÓRICOS
La siguiente misión era mejorar nuestros conocimientos
históricos. EL profesor de historia, Eulalio Martín nos ayudó en el proceso.
Todo el mundo conoce a Miguel de Cervantes, Isabel la Católica… Pero, ¿y los
estudiantes croatas? ¿Los conocerían ellos? Sin pensarlo un minuto más, ya
estábamos haciendo una exposición sobre ellos.
Ellos también nos mandaron otra presentación. ¿Qué
personajes piensas que son lo más representativos en Croacia?
LA PIEZA DE ARTE
¿Te encantan las piezas de arte? Porque a nosotros sí. Esta
tarea fue realizada por la profesora Meritxell Sanglas con alumnos de 4º ESO
¿Puedes adivinar cuál elegimos?
1ª pista: Está en el museo Reina Sofía.
2ª pista: Fue pintada por Picasso.
Por supuesto, ¡es “El Guernica”! El cuadro es todavía mejor
por la historia que tiene detrás.
EL DEPORTE
No solo el arte iba a tomar parte en nuestro proyecto sino
también el deporte ya que es uno de los factores más importantes de un país y,
obviamente, sus deportistas. En España, tenemos tantos deportistas talentosos
que la decisión fue muy difícil. La actividad la llevó a cabo el profesor José
María Reillo con varios de sus alumnos.
EL CÓMIC
El final del proyecto había llegado, pero teníamos que hacer
todavía una tarea más; pero como siempre tuvimos una mente muy creativa, lo
hicimos de una manera muy especial.
¿Hay una mejor manera de enlazar personajes históricos y
deportistas que un cómic? La idea era perfecta.

Cifuentes lo hicimos en los ordenadores
del instituto.
Sin embargo, una chica
croata muy talentosa dibujó lo que
habían ideado sus compañeros. Era tan bonito que no pudimos resistirnos a exhibirlo
en nuestro salón de actos.
Para la gente curiosa, ahora está en la escalera del
instituto, en el edificio A… ¡sigue ahí!
Al final, este proyecto nos ha permitido conocer aspectos de otro país y también sobre España. Ha hecho
que nos uniéramos más como compañeros y que cooperáramos mientras
participábamos en el tan maravilloso proyecto que, sin duda, no olvidaremos.
Fue increíble: todos los conocimientos sobre Croacia (los
cuales son muy interesantes) que hemos aprendido; la emoción de tener amigos
aunque estén a 2200km de distancia; el hecho de que todo el instituto formara
parte de la experiencia…
Y no solo eso… ¡la UE nos ha galardonado con un sello de
calidad europeo, por lo bien que lo hemos hecho!
Lo único que falta es…¿Cuándo repetimos?

OUR ETWNINNING PROJECT "A COMIC, HOW DO YOU SEE US" HAS BEEN AWARDED
Have you ever heard about the eTwinning project? Its aim is to exchange
information to learn about the culture of different European countries from
different points of views: geographical, historical, artistic, sportive…. through a European socila network site of schoold called Etwinning, created by the Europan Comission in 2005.
And, how was our Highschool going to miss this opportunity ? We were looking
forward for a project where we could get in touch with other people from other
countries in order to use our English skills. Fortunately, we found the eTwinning project. Not only were the students
exhilarated about having this chance but also the teachers. So we were
impatiently waiting for other country interested on being in contact with us,
and it was… Croatia!
After that, we
started doing the first activity.
A LOGO
Many logos were done by the
students from 2º of E.S.O. The responsible was the Art teacher Ms Carolina
Puche. Definitely, all of them expressed, in the best possible way, the aim of
the project. Nevertheless,only one could be chosen to represent it (we wish we
could have elected more!) and we voted for it. Before we had this task done,
other students were already doing the next one…
A VIDEO
Of course, everybody was on the same page:we had to officially present
our high school.
For this reason, a group of students recorded and edited a video, in
which we interviewed the headmaster, our American assistant, the bilingual program organizer, and we show
the parts of the different buildings and the villages around.
It took awhile but we finally made it.
Of course, they sent us a video too, which it was amazing. Would you

HISTORICAL CHARACTERS
The next mission was to improve our historical knowledge. Everyone knows
Miguel de Cervantes, Isabel the Catholic… But, what about the Croatian
students? Would did they do? Without giving more thoughts we were already doing
an exposition.
PIECE OF ART
Do you love artworks? Because we do. Thus, when our teacher told us
about exposing a representative piece of art in each country, we enjoyed a lot.
Can you imagine which did we choose?
1st clue: it is at the Reina Sofía museum.
2nd clue: it was painted by Picasso.
Of course, it is “The Guernica”! The painting becomes even greater due to the
story behind it.
SPORT
Not only did the art take part in this project but also the sport since
this is one of the most important facts of a country and, obviously, its
sportsmen/sportswomen too. In Spain, we have such talented sports people that
the decision was really difficult.
OUR COMICS
The end had arrived yet we still had to do one more job, which combined
all the famous Croatian people who we had known for two years. And, as we’ve
got a creative mind, we did it in a very special way.
Is there any better way to mix
historical characters and famous sport people than a comic? The idea was
perfect.
This time, we did it by computer, but one talented Croatian girl did it
by hand! It was more than beautiful, so we couldn’t not to show it in our
Assembly hall.
For the curious people, it is still there!
All in all, this project allowed us to know about other country and we
have learnt more about Spain too. Everybody in the high school has worked
together in order to create a very special project which should be never
forgotten.
It has been amazing: the Croatian stuff (which is super interesting)
that we have known; the emotion about having friends that are 2200 km far away,
the cooperation among partners when we were doing the activities…
(In addition, our happiness increased due to the fact that we have been
awarded with a Quality distinction by the EU!)
The only thing that is missing is… When will we repeat?
